Although many of us prefer to leave the house with everything in its place, including every cosmetic applied correctly, some days its not possible to do a full makeup look. However, that doesn’t mean we can’t look our best at all times.
A quick makeup look is possible with some key essential makeup products that most of us have on hand anyway. By keeping them together in a travel makeup kit will make it easier to apply this quick easy makeup look in about five minutes.
Cosmetic Products and Makeup Tools Needed for a Travel Makeup Kit
- Tinted Moisturizer
- Concealer, preferably in a stick or pot form
- Pressed Powder
- Bronzer
- Black Mascara
- Lip gloss
- Tapered blush brush
- Mirror, if not available in one of the above compacts
Easy Makeup Look
- First apply the tinted moisturizer. Since it is like applying lotion, it is very easy and quick to apply without making a lot of mistakes like a foundation. The color will blend in with the skin tone, helping conceal minor skin imperfections.
- Next, apply the concealer to any major skin discolorations such as dark-circles, acne, age spots, etc. Blend around the edges with the fingertips.
- Apply a light layer of pressed powder to set the makeup and keep oil at bay. Pressed powder will also help keep makeup on longer and will help conceal more skin imperfections without a heavy layer of foundation.
- With the bronzer, apply as a blush. The bronzer can also be used to bring a little more glow to skin, giving it a sun-kissed look. If the bronzer has no sheen, it can be used to contour the face as well.
- Use the tapered edge of the blush brush, apply to the crease or the lid of the eye to give the lid a little more definition.
- Apply black mascara, three coats if time allows. Mascara will always help give a finishing touch to any look, no matter how much or how little cosmetics are applied.
- Finish the look by applying lip gloss. Most lip glosses are lighter in color than lipstick. Using a light pink or champagne color is perfect for most occasions.
This look is an everyday look that can go from office to cocktails by applying a few more cosmetics. For the eyes, add a shimmery eyeshadow to the brow and lid, and a deep brown or charcoal eye liner to the top lid. For a more youthful appearance, add a cheek color to the apples of the cheeks. Finish the look by applying a deeper shade of lipstick, go for a deep pink or berry color and a clear gloss applied to the center of the lips.
