Instead of matching the eye makeup color to the eyes, it is important to choose colors that are opposite of your eye to help the color really stand out. Green eye makeup will compete with the green in your eyes so it is best to stay away from green eyeshadows and other green eye makeup.
For the best colors, use neutrals colors like browns, peaches and golds. Even reds will work if you have the right skin tone. Purples and violets will also work for green eyes and are great for a more dramatic look. These colors help make the whites of the eyes brighter, making the color of the eye stronger and more dramatic.
Of course other colors can be worn, but the colors above should be your “go to” colors for when you want to look your best. They are also great for when you are not feeling well and are under the weather and need to give the illusion of being more awake.
