You may not be a “gleek” but everyone has heard of the very popular TV show Glee. And now Sephora has teamed up with one of the best nail polish brands, OPI, to offer a Glee Collection nail series in honor of the hit television show.
OPI Nail Polish, the Glee Collection
There are seven nail polish colors available in the Glee collection, all the colors and names of the colors are inspired by Glee’s characters and catch phrases. The seven colors are Diva-in-Training, Slushied, Hell to the No, Mash Up, Who Let the Dorks Outs?, Miss Bossy Pants, and Gleek Out. The colors range in bright pinks, purples and blues. All are perfect for the new spring and summer trends of 2011.
Glee fans, also known as Gleeks, can probably figure out which nail polishes are influenced by their favorite Glee characters. On the Sephora website, it also clarifies which character inspired the nail color. For instance, Mash Up is for Will Schuester, who is the teacher in charge of the Glee club. Rachel Berry, who is the female lead of the Glee club, inspired the Miss Bossy Pants color.
Can’t commit to one or two colors? Sephora also offers a six-piece mini kit that features three of the nail polishes mentioned above, Miss Bossy Pants, Slushied, and Gleek Out. It also has three mini kit exclusives – Celibacy Club, Sue vs Shue, and Express Yourself to Yourself.
Other Nail Products Available in the Glee Collection
Besides nail polish, Sephora is also offering nail print sets in a Glee theme. There are three sets available. Each is precut with 16 nail patches and will fit all fingernails no matter what the width. They are a one time application and can be removed easily by peeling off. The three designs available are gold stars, music notes, and navy and white polka dots. They claim to be a long wearing product that can last about four to five days although many reviewers have found that nail foils will last longer.
Time for a manicure? The limited edition nail polishes are only offered by Sephora. Nail polishes are currently sold at $9.50 each, the mini kit is $24 and nail print sets are $15 each. Glee is currently shown on the FOX network on Tuesday evenings. Check your local listings for times. Episodes are also available online through the FOX website.
